I have now arrived safely in San Francisco and I'm having a really nice time. It's so lovely to get up to blue sky and sunshine each morning after the long winter a home.
I am staying with friends for a few days and Yulia and Nigel have made me most welcome. They have lovely house on 3 floors, very central in the city and we have walked from there to see a lot of the city.
Yesterday we went to the farmers market on the waterfront, where you can buy a wonderful variety of fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat, etc from local producers. They can grow pretty much any thing here.
Then we drove over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, had lunch overlooking the bay, walked around the town a bit, and went for a walk in the woods, amongst giant redwoods.
Sausalito is a lovely place, full of art shops.
This morning we've have had a lazy start and I have a quiet hour to catch up and read a bit while Yulia and Nigel take Nigel's sister Lisa, another weekend, guest to the airport. Monday is not a holiday here so they're all back to work tomorrow.
