My neighbour's son came on Sunday to interview me for a article he is writing, about the Clipper Race, for a sailing magazine in Croatia. It was great to think about how the whole thing works to get myself mentally prepared.

Ready for the off. Leg 7/8
Almost completely packed. Hair now cut very short, teeth checked, legs waxed. Nails now need cutting down to nothing. Waiting for a gift to arrive tomorrow to take as a thank you to the folks I am staying with in San Fransisco and I then I can go. I'm quite looking forward to the flight; being able to sit back and read, watch some films and just relax.It'll be good to get on the boat reasonablly well rested, having had a few days to get sorted in a relaxed manner after finishing work on Saturday.
