Wow! What an amazing day we had on the water to watch the race start.it was quite awe inspiring. We had 7 on board Jambo! And headed up Soutampton water to see the race boats emerging from the river Ichen. Then, what an a spectacle, as the boats progressed down Southampton water escorted by HMS Illustrious. Two helicopters encircled the scene. There were hundreds of boats out to give the crews a great send off.
We picked up a buoy outside Cowes to watch the race start from a distance, then had a very pleasant sail back to home port.
